Tamara Almeida Silva is the reigning Miss World Brazil and will represent Brazil in Miss World 2008. She won the Miss Brasil World title in July 26 2008 by beating out over 10 other contestants. She speaks English, Spanish and Chinese Basic.

She grew up in Ipatinga in the state of Minas Gerais, although the area has one of the largest steel complexes in Brazil its main park has over 12,000 trees, making it very green. She had commenced her studies in Law at the age of just 17, and now she is in the 5th year, and her ambition is to become a Judge.
