Shagun Sarabhai crowned Miss India Worldwide 2008 Shagun Sarabhai, a 20-year-old Mumbai homeopathy student was crowned Miss India Worldwide 2008 at a gala banquet in Johannesburg in early hours of Sunday (23rd February 2008) morning. Miss India Canada, Uppeka Jain, 24, was the first princess and Sabiha Hussain, 21, from the host country, was crowned second princess. Shagun Sarabhai was also given whole package of prizes that includes $5,000 in cash, gold and diamond jewellery, exclusive garments and a laptop. She plans to enter Bollywood after achieving the great feat at the beauty pageant. She completed her B.B.A from the Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. She is a professional Bharatnatyam dancer. She was one of the contestants of Miss India Worldwide Canada 2007, a beauty contest produced by the India Festival Committee (IFC) based in New York. She was crowned with the 2007 Miss India Worldwide Canada title on July 21, 2007. She also won Miss Best Talent and Miss Beautiful Hair subtitles. Uppekha represented Canada in the Miss India Worldwide beauty pageant held in South Africa on February 23, 2008 and was crowned First Princess. Sabiha Hussain - Miss India Worldwide 2008 Second Runner-up - Miss India South Africa 2007 Sabeeha Hussain is from South Africa. She was one of the contestants of Miss India South Africa 2007. She was crowned with the 2007 Miss India South Africa title on December 09, 2007. Sabeeha represented South Africa in the Miss India Worldwide 2008 beauty pageant held in South Africa on February 23, 2008 and was crowned second princess.
